Thanksgiving Weekend in Brockville and Area (Oct 10-12, 2026)

By Sarah Ovington · Oct 10, 2026

Thanksgiving Monday is October 12. This long weekend, this list sticks to Sunday and Monday around Brockville, Gananoque, Prescott and Kingston. I checked each item against the organizer's page or local news on October 10, but plans change, so look before you head out.

Free Thanksgiving dinners on Sunday

Richard's Coffeehouse in downtown Brockville is serving a free Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday from 4 to 6 pm. Everyone is welcome, and they're delivering to homebound seniors and people in need.

Wall Street United Church is holding a free Thanksgiving Sunday supper from 2:30 to 4:30 pm, open to the whole community.

Fall walks while the colour lasts

Brockville Railway Tunnel. Open daily from 9 am to 9 pm with the light and sound show. It's free, and donations are welcome. The south entrance is on Blockhouse Island. The Recorder and Times expects it to close around the end of the month.

Mac Johnson Wildlife Area (the Back Pond), 4649 Debruge Road, north of town. Cataraqui Conservation lists 11 km of trails through wetland, field and forest, including the Wildflower Loop. It's open during daylight hours, and dogs need to be on a leash.

Thousand Islands National Park. Parks Canada lists the Jones Creek trails (1270 1000 Islands Parkway) with self-serve registration through October 12.

Charleston Lake and Frontenac provincial parks. Ontario Parks' fall colour report had Charleston Lake at 60% colour change on October 7, with the best viewing on the Quiddity Trail and the Tallow Rock Bay Trail. Frontenac, north of Kingston, was at 60% change and 40% leaf fall on October 8. Try the Doe Lake Loop (3 km).

Pumpkins and a corn maze

Fruition Berry Farm in Kingston is open Sunday and Thanksgiving Monday from 10 am to 4 pm. Admission covers the wagon ride, the corn maze and the pick-your-own pumpkin patch: $10 for adults, $5 for ages 5 to 15, free for 4 and under, or $25 for a family. Pumpkins are sold by weight. If you just want a pumpkin, the farm stand doesn't charge admission. It's cash or debit only, and leashed dogs are welcome.

Run a pumpkin patch closer to Brockville? Add it to our events calendar so we can include you next year.
