Shop Local Holiday Gift Guide 2026: Kingston, Gananoque, Brockville, Prescott and the 1000 Islands

Last updated: November 2, 2026

Looking for gifts that did not come off a truck from a warehouse? Every town along the river has independent shops worth a visit. This guide is organized town by town, from Kingston and Gananoque to Brockville and Prescott, and over the river to Alexandria Bay, Clayton and Watertown, so you can shop close to home or plan a day out.

Every business here is locally owned and independent. Descriptions come from the businesses' own websites, their downtown or chamber directory entries, or local news. Holiday hours change, and some river-town shops close for the winter, so check with the shop before you head out.
