Brockville got its first Value Village in May 2026, at 2399 Parkedale Avenue in the 1000 Islands Plaza. It sits alongside the downtown Salvation Army Thrift Store on King Street West and the Habitat for Humanity ReStore on County Road 29. For antiques, Stone Acre Manor Antiques just east of the city deals in European furniture, china and silver. Kingston has the region's biggest mix of thrift and antique shops, and Prescott, Westport, Clayton and Alexandria Bay each add one or two worth a stop.

Value Village opened Thursday, May 7, 2026, a 29,000-square-foot store in the redeveloped plaza next to Dollarama. There's a donation centre on site. Value Village pays Diabetes Canada for the clothing and housewares people drop off. stores.savers.com
The Salvation Army Thrift Store is downtown on King Street West, a short walk from the other King Street shops. Where can you buy antiques in Kingston?
Antique Alley and Kate's Vintage Kloset, 207B Wellington Street downtown, is the long-running one. It's been in business since 1978 (it started as Cellar Door Antiques) and fills more than 4,000 square feet with antiques, collectibles, vintage clothing and retro pieces. Is there thrifting in Gananoque?
Less than there used to be. The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Gananoque closed permanently on March 27, 2025, according to GananoqueNow. From Gananoque, Kingston's west-end thrift stores are about 35 minutes west on Highway 401, and Brockville's are about 40 minutes east.

Where can you find antiques in Prescott and the back roads?
Harbourside Gallery, 41B Main Street, Unit 9 in Westport, deals in art, antiques, glass, vintage and collectibles, from furniture, jewellery and ceramics to silver, coins, books and prints across Georgian, Victorian, Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods. Two nonprofit shops in the Thousand Islands region of New York:
- Alexandria Bay Thrift Store, 42601 NYS Route 12, Alexandria Bay. A community thrift store and food pantry selling clothing, housewares, furniture, toys and seasonal decorations. Open Wednesday to Saturday, 10 am to 2 pm, with donations taken 8 am to 1 pm the same days. - Finders Keepers, Clayton. The Thousand Islands Arts Center's resale shop, with furniture, antiques, vintage, kitchenware, artwork, rugs, linens and jewellery. All proceeds go to the arts center. Tips for thrifting in the 1000 Islands
- Go more than once. Stock at thrift stores and ReStores changes as donations come in, so a quiet visit one week can be a good one the next.
- Call the antique dealers first. Small dealers keep short or by-appointment hours, especially from November to April.
- Bring a vehicle for the ReStores. They sell full-size furniture, doors, cabinets and fixtures.
- Check donation hours before you drop off. Several stores only take donations on certain days or hours, and Mission Thrift in Kingston only takes them on weekdays.
